Muggy Morning
My Dear Princess and Dear Fat Pete,
It was sticky this morning. I was kind of yuck as soon as I left the house. Fortunately there was also a light rain, or "Nature's Air Conditioning" as I now know it.
These are the mornings I would dread in Edinburgh, because it would mean 45 yucky minutes on a fogged-up bus out to the Gyle. Fortunately, the a/c on the train is pretty good.
Even MORE fortunately, there is no Smock at the moment! For a WHOLE TWO WEEKS!
"Freeeeeeeeeeedom!!" said Steve the Scouser. He is a funny man. And also, he is afraid of Smock. I know this for a fact because I told him the desk next to me was free after Lemon's departure, but he told me that he has some work to do for Smock and she'll nag him.
So now he is OFF THE LEASH. We may or may not have spent 15 minutes today talking about Rik Mayall and The Young Ones.
But anyway, speaking of a/c, Caro has organised for a unit to be installed in a week. She is really very happy these days. I think she is having tons of fun, playing with her house. Every day I come home and more things have changed. I'm sure it is a lot of work for her, but she is just DELIGHTED with herself.
It's very nice.
As for me, despite having signed up for another 6 weeks with MPI, I am still looking for the next contract. I have an interview with ANZ (a bank) next week. Hopefully it will go well.
But the agency told me that I have to give an effing PRESENTATION - on "continuous improvement". WTF? How does talking people through effing BULLET POINTS make you a good BA*??
Oh well. Hopefully it will go well. Maybe in a couple of months I will be working for ANZ. With no Smock.
I wonder if Steve the Scouser will want to come with me?
S.
* Unless that stands for "Bullsh*t Artist". Which is not unlikely.
