Dog ate my homework

I attended a training course today ( it’s been a while?!?). It took time to get in the groove but the course was really interesting. It will be helpful at work and also mirrors the work that the charity I support does. We finished on time and the trainer mentioned ‘homework’. Collective sighs from 20 people until he explained the homework was to spend an hour on ‘self care’. ( the course was Mental Health First Aid).

My self care usually involves the garden but it’s winter and the ground is soaked so I put trainers on and headed out for a walk. However my normal circuit crosses the river which is flooded and the road is closed........ I did manage an hour but had to incorporate a detour!!
