As you see, I'm trying to extend our holiday however I can - just as Funchal extends Christmas. Decorations stay up beyond 12th night to incorporate the festival of Santo Amaro. So we had the delight of 'seeing Christmas' and 'feeling summer' during our visit to Madeira last week.
