Birthday

It's mine today. Mr H decided it wasn't a day for the seaside and ice creams as there's plenty of water hereabouts, and another day with strong winds and more heavy showers. Despite the foul weather I've had a lovely day surrounded by lots of good wishes, lovely cards, chocolates, wine and ........ More beautiful sock wool!

Next door neighbour's son came round bearing a just baked lemon drizzle cake (baking is a current Duke of Edinburgh badge project he is doing) last week it was scones. He's becoming quite the little baker and to top off my lovely day Mr H took himself off to the kitchen and produced a very good dinner, accompanied by some very good wine!
