Late Sun On Reeds

Low sunlight streamed across the landscape late in the day just as the sun was setting. I tried to photograph a few subjects picked out by the fading rays which created some nice patterns of light and shadow. This is a nice light to be out in to create images and leaves me with a warm fuzzy feeling.

As usual in strong light there were deep shadows that required some recovery to avoid black holes in the image. I like to have them dark enough to be a shadow, but still be able to discern some detail. I try numerous methods, but, although tedious, an adjustment brush is where I usual end up.
