Tassel Foot

This poor chaffinch is suffering from foot lesions commonly known as scaly leg or tassel foot.
It seems that most of the individuals that I see are suffering in some degree or other. Apparently it doesn't impeded them too much.

Another wild day and I haven't gone far. The sky brightened considerably this afternoon and I thought about getting some walking miles in but, by the time I seriously considered it, the rain was once again lashing down.
