Poppy and Rodney

Today we have arrived at the brand new house of S & C and our grandchildren Poppy and Cameron a few miles out of Stratford-upon-Avon. Yesterday we battled through storm Dennis as far as Carlisle and today we set off early and endured similar weather on the M6 and M40 but at least most of the way the traffic was very light.

We have arrived with garden tools and a wheelbarrow with the hope of creating a garden out of their weed and rubble that new houses tend to have but with the torrential rain that has fallen recently I am not sure what we will achieve in the next few days.

Poppy is a bit of a grandpa’s girl so being here is a lot better than the usual FaceTime chats. She is also very fond of the 2 cats - Rodney and Cassie.

The extra shows Cameron happily building pirate Lego that granny brought for him.

Apologies for the lack of posting and commenting recently- my usual blip block in a Scottish winter I am afraid. Hopefully I will have time to catch up while here.
