After the storm

This morning when we woke, the wind had quietened but the rain was torrential and continued well into the afternoon.  When it finally stopped, the skies cleared almost, just in time for sunset.  Of course we can't see it properly from our house, but the main shot shows the beautiful pink reflection from it in the clouds.  My extra shows the orangy pink glow from the sun setting behind trees and houses in the street next to us.
I didn't leave the house today (instead Mr MC and I did some useful tidying and clearing.  Zeus09smum did take Zeus out this afternoon, although whether they walked, waded or swam is not entirely certain!
