Not being an expert...

...on surfing, I tend to judge the quality by how long they remain upright on the water. 

Using this measure, the guy with the white t-shirt was by far the best in the water this morning (though I suspect I probably arrived after the better surfers had left the scene).

As you can gather, the weather in the Canaries is much better than the UK is suffering at the moment.
