Cow creamer

A piece of Burleighware (Burgess & Leigh) made and bought at their Middleport pottery in Stoke on Trent. We had an interesting two centre holiday about ten years ago firstly in Derby to explore Derwent valley by train, then Stoke. I was sceptical when Lady H, an avid ceramics fan, persuaded me to stay for some days in Stoke but was enthralled with the wonderful economic and social history of the Potteries. Middleport is of course the base for the current TV show "Great Pottery Throwdown"
