Gas Gallery

Before we headed back up the M6, we spent a sunny morning at Manchester's Museum of Science and Industry.

I saw this character stretching to light one of the gas lamps in the Gas Gallery (a history of gas lighting!). I don't know why his expression is so grotesque. Perhaps it was the smell.
