A safe heart

If you are familiar with build a bear toys you will know that when they are stuffing the soft toy of your choice in the shop, you get to pick a little heart to place inside the animal before they fasten it all up. The whole experience is very sweet.

Today my 4 year old boy managed to stick his hand in a small tear in the dogs back only to find this little heart and pull it out.

Life can feel like an emotional roller coaster sometimes. We have loss to deal with, hurt, rejection, disappointment and anything else that comes our way.

I was reminded today that just as my 4 year old son is confident that his daddy will place the heart back inside the dog and stitch it all back together like new, I can be confident of my heavenly daddy who can fix my heart like new when trouble hits and keep it safe.

Now to Him Who is able to keep you without stumbling or slipping or falling, and to present you unblemished blameless and faultless before the presence of His glory in triumphant joy and exultation with unspeakable, ecstatic delight- (Jude/the bible)
