Book club books

Our last book and our next one.
Spent a lot of today treating the new fence panels before they are put in place (whenever the rain stops!). The stuff we bought is not the right colour but we thought we might as well use it as a first coat!
Later this afternoon our daughter contacted me to say that their boiler was broken - why do these things always happen at the weekend? - I took our 2 spare electric heaters up to their house and they will probably come here in the morning for showers.
The journey back home was very wet with lots of water lying in the road. It’s now raining very hard again. I do hope the flood defences hold out for everyone. I expect a lot of people will not get much sleep tonight.
