The Ice...

...is back!  We went to South Shore Park this morning looking for a blip & the ice was so thick on the walkway that I didn't chance it by going that way. Lots of geese, mergansers, buffleheads, mallards, and male & female common goldeneyes in the water, but they're all so skittish that if you come anywhere near them to take photos, all you get is a bunch of rear ends as they swim away, and I have no patience to wait until they settle down, as I'm much more of an "icer" than a "birder"! Haha.
