Burr Oaks Winter Morning

On a trip this weekend and popped out for a walk before the day got going. I definitely miscalculated the footwear for this activity and had to find the crunchy snow to avoid slipping as most of the snow had frozen solid.

As usual when I'm travelling to do something other than photography, I work hand held with my Sony which is a challenge. Fortunately the light was good, so shutter speeds were high enough.

I like this shot, but it's definitely a picture of something rather than a photograph. I do like the mass of dark intermingled branches against the blue sky and the light streaming in from the right. I think these are Burr Oaks, but can't be 100%.
