Foxton Revealed

As it was St Valentine's Day we revisited the walk we took on one of our early dates - the first time we held hands, in fact (aaaah) - to the canal and locks at Foxton. It was lovely, as was the hot chocolate and Bailey's in Bridge 61 cafe-bar.

The locks and side pools have been drained in order to replace the gates.  and ladders. Last year, an unfortunate lady slipped and fell into one of the pools as it was feeding water down - she was pulled underwater by the force of the flow and through the small drainage tunnel to the lock below where happily she was rescued. At least, so we were told. I presume it was via the outlet pictured that she eventually emerged.
