Lauterbrunnen

Travelled to Switzerland today with Joe for a weeks skiing and some R&R.

This is the terrible view from our balcony at the Hotel Silberhorn.

Travelling is always tiring but a Swiss Air flight, which was very organised, a chauffeur driven transfer...which made a change from a hire car, all made it rather enjoyable.

The car had it's own Wifi and guess what, even in the 7km tunnel it didn"t go off. 6 Music goes off when you go through the tunnel at Conwy, never mind Wifi and 3G.

Everything is clean, well maintained and seemingly brand new. Have they got a lot of brass in Switzerland or what?

Boot room in the hotel is lovely and warm, train to go up to Wengen is across the road, and the ski hire guys in their matching shirts and beards also spot on.

I've a feeling I may enjoy this week. Trains and skiing mixed together.
