Out of the box...

Earrings - love them, but wouldn't dream of buying an expensive pair. I have a nasty habit of losing them, and possess a considerable collection of odd earrings which, occasionally, I wear as mismatched 'pairs'.

These two pairs are rather nice and were probably quite pricy! They were a gift, many years ago, but I've worn them only a couple of times. Much as I like them as objects, as earrings they're badly designed - big (the size of €1 coins), heavy and, especially the ones on the right, VERY pointy and uncomfortable. Shame to keep them in a box though - maybe I should frame them?
