Borders know no Borders

Fed up with seeking shelter in our own forests, risked driving the car (nothing to do with Storm Ciara/Sabine) to Ottobeuren and do one of our favourite walks in the Bannwald forest above the town - The Pooh Sticks Walk.

Wind still howling but not anywhere near the dangerous level. The State Forestry had cleared most of the trees that had fallen on the much-used paths but I suspect as this one was a fine, massive, very straight example they want to get the maximum single length piece which will be about 25m. To the right, the tree hangs over our Pooh Sticks stream. and so not an easy task. At least they had cut away enough branches that we walkers & joggers could get over it.
