The Shivering Heart of Hoy

CMC through to Kirkwall early doors for her piano lesson.  I walked up to the Kirk for the cafe; took me a while because the road was skitey.  I then chatted to Mrs McNair about the Salt City.  Through to Stromness to see Sheena in the bookshop; ordered two books.  Tonight I am doing something unusual.  Going to the flicks!  Haven’t been since the premiere of ‘The Gold Rush’.   I wonder if David Thomson will be there; it’s a shame Dilys Powell won’t be.
I’m taking my wheelbarrow for the popcorn and lots of empty crisp pockets.  And, obviously, my own torch.
