Rainbow at Stover Gate

After loads of rain this morning the afternoon was a procession of rain and sunny skies. I went up to Stover and walked along the side of the A38 to this magnificent old Palladian gate. It would have been quite impressive as you arrived in your carriage and four but it's just a curiosity now as the traffic streams past on the way to Plymouth.

I'd intended doing something creative with it but I need a fisheye lens and I don't seem to have one at the moment. However, as I planned a different angle I noticed this lovely rainbow had come out. I still had the wide angle lens on so two portrait shots have been blended into a squarish shot.
