Another Close Encounter

I usually see these guys high up in a prominent lakeside tree drying themselves.
Today I caught this cormorant as he fished in the lake outflow, a small deep channel that runs beside the path on my way back to the car.
When I first saw him he had just surfaced with a large fish and I don't know which of us was more surprised.
Of course, by the time I had lifted the camera the fish had disappeared down his gullet.
He made several more attempts to catch something but then got fed up with me stalking him and flew back to the centre of the lake.

A very wet dog walk this morning saw Jorgie and I only clocking up...
