A view from Jeanneb

Shining through

An inauspicious start to the day, heavy rain could be heard when I got up for the early walk but once out it wasn’t that bad and actually very soon dried up.
With only four of our usual ladies walking (and three dogs) we made a very fast pace, finding enough time to walk down the lane around the field to avoid the soggiest part of our route.
We were therefore at Coppice Pond just after 8.00am and instead of seeing the sun coming up across the field we could see it here just filtering through the trees and reflected in the water.
This was taken just after I’d stopped to feed the swans and you can see the ducks heading out in hope that they might get some more food at the other side.
I was back home before 8.30am and it was a good start to what has been a cold but generally bright day.
Technical rehearsal 2 tonight.
