Campaign photograph

I met Khanh Pham and her family in the misting rain this morning just at daylight so her husband could get to work on time. Her campaign wants a photo of her and her family for their brochures, and they're working on a financial shoestring, so enlisting me as their photographer for no money makes sense. Her campaign motto is, "Another Portland Is Possible," and her family illustrates that beautifully. She's running for State Representative in a district where many immigrants and new arrivals are settling in, and her platform is all about social and environmental justice, so we picked a place with a few blossoming plum trees. I hope they'll be comfortable using the photos I made for them.
