Parliament

A fab team away day today. I wish I could post a picture of the buildings or interiors but all photography was banned! The education team at Parliament were wonderful hosts, and we had a tour of the Palace, the House of Lords and House of Commons before shadowing a workshop. A lovely lunch and then on to the public galleries whilst the two Houses were in session. We did get to see a vote and hear the Speaker call ‘the ayes have it, the ayes have it!’ Despite the teenagers we were shadowing being desperate to get a glimpse of Boris they were unlucky, and the only person I saw that I recognised was Karen Brady in the House of Lords, she’s a busy lady! 

The photo is of us all in the oldest part of the building, which ironically is the only part cameras were allowed.
