Watching the River Flow (widwed120220)
Various errands to do today but I managed to be at Charlecote Park as the sunlight was on the bridge over the Dene. The water levels are still high and the Avon (off to the left) is flowing at quite a rate.
Wide Wednesday is hosted this week by RockArea on the theme of water ... which some parts of the country have far more than enough of.
Previous blip here which shows the weir completely submerged.
There is a sluice gate on the other side of the bridge, about 20m upstream, plenty of water passing through it today, although I have no idea where it ends up - some other route to the Avon perhaps?
