The Viper Room has a shady past.

This is one of the hipster bars in LA that has a very shady past.
It's partly owned by actor Johnny Depp.  The club  was the site where actor River Phoenix died of a drug overdose. It continues to host music of multiple genres, including metal, punk, punk rock and alternative.
