Clock Tower.
Bright sunny day today, I thought I'd pop out and find something to blip - Bumped into someone I used to work with and had a long chat, by which time I'd lost interest of looking for a blip. Decided to blip our village's iconic clock tower. To the right in this picture is the old school. The phone box now holds a defibrillater, as many do these days.
Every New year's eve 100's of villagers gather here at midnight. We used to too and it was always fabulous, seeing our kids, their friends, their friends parents, and generally acquaintances from around the village. It's really funny as at about 10 to midnight everyone piles out of the restaurants and pubs and flood down the High St. to congregate here. Then they return to their various parties!
I must try and get out early one morning and get some pictures from round the picturesque village without all the cars. Hard to believe we have a bypass as the traffic is as bad as it ever was before the bypass was built. And now we have HS2 to contend with and all the disruption that will bring.
