Taking Shelter

Dear friends M & M are visiting us for a couple of days, the two chaps sensibly installed themselves in the comfortable lounge of the Blakeney hotel with a drink, a sandwich and a view over the marshes.  Us girls headed off along the raised footpath through the marshes to the beach...or at least we tried, we had to walk in the lee of the raised path in order to stay on our feet!  Just as we got to the beach a big black cloud came over, the wind got up even more and threw some fine stinging hail at us.  So, we abandoned our circular walk and returned the way we came.  Nevertheless, a most exhilarating walk, it's always good to see the skies over the marsh in all its moods.
