The Phantom Of The Tor?
As we'd anticipated after the recent weather, the golf course was closed today so Tess & I decided to get our exercise with a walk up Glastonbury Tor. We managed to avoid the rain, but the wind was so strong as we got near the top that we had to hold on to each other to avoid being blown over (that was our excuse!)
There were four other people taking refuge in St Michael's Tower at the top and, for a moment, as the blip suggests, I thought we'd been joined by the ghost of Abbot Whiting, who was in charge of Glastonbury Abbey at the time of the Dissolution and was hanged, drawn and quartered at about this exact spot on top of the Tor by Henry VIII's henchmen.
Just the light coming through the opposite window, of course.
We walked back down on the sheltered side then called in to see our fiends Tony & Rosie for a coffee and a chance to see the photos of their new grandson.
Spent too much of the afternoon trying, unsuccessfully, to get the light in the garage working again after the recent rains leaked through the roof into it.
