Gwyneth, the white mallard

I've named her Gwyneth, after the actress Gwyneth Paltrow, to whom she bears a passing resemblance. She was all on her own-ee-o today, which is unusual. Because I did higher biology, I have worked out that her colouring must be due to a recessive gene. Therefore, if she meets Mr Right some time soon, I would guess that the chance of another white duck is still an outside one. Even then, the poor little duckling, which will be yellow, not brown, has to survive. (Gwyneth was a yellow duckling.) Watch this space.
