……………Damselfly



Well, I think this is a Red damselfly!

If it is, then they are the most common damselfly found in a New Zealand. And a native found throughout New Zealand. 

We were in Nelson today and after an appointment we visited the Maitai Valley. It is a pretty area close to the city, but looking extremely dry at present with our lack of rainfall. 

The Maitai River flows through the area with several popular swimming holes. It was beside Black Hole that I found this fella.
