Dad

Been looking through more of the old photos this morning, weather on and off snow so it's good to have some indoor stuff.

Dad is looking so young and very dapper here as a teenager/early 20s.  Very trendy with a white belt matching his shirt!  Not sure if this is before or after his National Service, which he served in Palestine and Malta, where amazingly he bumped into his brother Bill in the desert.  

We used to laugh when Dad used to say 'When I was in Palestine'...  I wish I had listened or asked more questions of his time there.  Too late now.

Another observation when looking through the old photos was that there are no obese people or even folks a couple of stone overweight!  Yeah, folks moved more in those days and there was next to no fast food outlets and less crap food sold.  Everyone was slim - not so nowadays.  Nowadays obesity seems to be the rule rather than the exception like it was in those days.
