Après le Deluge *

The torrential rain and flooding in the Irwell catchment yesterday has swept lots of debris into the Quays. Quite a job to deal with for the Manchester Ship Canal Company (who own the canal).

This is not the usual view of the Imperial War Museum North, The Lowry, or Media City. The debris is mostly plant material, including the occasional tree, but with all sorts of other material mixed in. The gulls were giving it all the once over for potential pickings.
