Old and New

Work in Progress Here.  We were looking for a specific sculpture this morning in the City Centre in a specific building - unfortunately the book that is the only one available is about 30 years old and Birmingham City Centre has changed tremendously in that time and we have found that there have been a lot of changes with buildings and sculptures!  Our search led us to Chamberlain square which has been hidden away as part of the redevelopment of the area for a long time now while the old library was knocked down and lots of new buildings have been built.  I was so pleased to see the Chamberlain Memorial Fountain uncovered today with work going on around it and some wonderful reflections in the new building behind it.  I am looking forward to seeing it finished with some of the other sculptures back in place.

The main purpose of our visit today was to go to a certain fruit related computer store to have some advice on storage on my laptop.  We spoke to a very knowledgeable young man who sorted lots of things out for me.  We got talking about Blipfoto and he realised that he had already spoken to someone about Blipfoto.  Guess who?  I think it was one of the Fab Four who is based not far from Birmingham...

All I have to do now is find my way around things again on the computer, which is officially "vintage"  apparently!
