Rain turns to hail!

I always think when the flood waters subside the true extent of the devastation is revealed. The images of Mytholmroyd and Hebden Bridge today show the thick mud covering shop floors, houses and belongings. The scenes of belongings piled high on the sides of streets really are apocalyptic. There are no words.

In other news, the road where my little cottage was has collapsed. It's the second time it's happened and it sure makes you wonder about the stability of the road!

Snow forecast for overnight...wonder if the world will look white in the morning!
