Not about the cake

I took the photo thinking I could blip it but then the day took a dramatic turn ... but too dramatic to remember to take another photo.

NoaNoa collapsed and was unresponsive playing basketball after church. He lay still and not moving whilst waiting for an ambulance in a puddle and in a heavy storm for nearly an hour. The park gates were closed because of the storm and trees coming down & so the Paramedics couldn’t get to us either. We could hear the sirens.

We were all soaked through and there was a big crowd from church with us, including a lovely nurse. She told me to keep him awake so I lay almost nose to nose with him under coats that others threw on us to protect him. He couldn’t speak and he couldn’t move. He blinked responses though.

I can’t write it all out but within the hour of arriving in paediatric A&E, he was getting changed himself, walking to the loo and on his phone.

They ruled out a head injury 1st because he took a direct hit whilst go-karting yesterday. But no scans were taken, no blood tests and no real investigation.

But by 4.30pm, we were sent home. I totally get that the emergency had passed and we were in an A&E, but we don’t know what happened or why.

Our church family are truly amazing. Truly Godly loving kind generous prayerful awesome people. One drama after another unfolds and they keep being amazing.
