A Walk in the Winter Woods

Sunday afternoon, the weather was decent, and so my husband and I went for a hike. The Stormstown end of the Scotia Barrens is within a short walk of our house, so off we went.

Conditions were partly sunny, with lots of mud on the trails and a light layer of snow on the ground. Temperatures were in the upper 30s. It was pleasant; actually, a bit on the mild side for February, at least around here.
