Best part of the day!

I write this from a rather less than salubrious premier inn, a few miles from Gatwick. We are some of the innumerable people affected by Storm Ciara! Trying to return to Guernsey after a hockey and netball tour to Ipswich, with 23 children from year 5 and 6.
Flights cancelled. So we find ourselves amid thousands of people trying to find accommodation at very short notice, in our case, for 27 people!! Aurigny, our airline, have been amazing. They found our hotel, sourced a bus and didn’t make us feel like an inconvenience. So we are going to try again tomorrow night. I’m not overly hopeful if I’m honest!
