Train hard to perform easy.
As the largest storm in seven years hit the UK we headed out into a wild wood. Before we even got into the wood itself we'd had to circumnavigate the first fallen tree of the day. It added a level of realism and a need for dynamic risk assessment that I couldn't have made any better :-)
I think a few of the ladies were close to the edge of their personal envelope. But... They all did great. We did three sets of scenarios that got progressively worse, and learning from each one they got stronger and stronger.
By the time we wrapped up they were assigning leaders, swapping team members, updating control and everyone had a job. They weren't even phased when FWG's foot fell off....
Extra is a journal shot from Mrs IttH - our garden today.... Fortunately the waters now receded.
