Sunday shenanigans ....

Wild and wet again. Got a phone call mid morning to say there was a horse lorry couped off the farm road at our other land down at Gorebridge. By the time I got there things were in full swing. 4 fire engines and crew, 2 police and a traffic car, 2 vets busy trying to sedate a disgruntled nag in said lorry and the livery owner propping up said lorry with a bale on the front of his telehandler. And it was blowing a hoolie with more heavy sideways rain. Left them to it once the recovery lorry arrived to add to the chaos.
If it was me I would have reversed another horsebox up to the back of the lorry, swapped the nag into it than hauled the lorry back onto the road with a tractor and chain. But what do I know.
Got another new visitor come to stay. Loopy Luna the spaniel /lab is here for the week while brother in law and family are away. It might take a day or two for her to get used to us and calm down, but I’m sure we will get there .
