After washing out a friend's sea kayak, which is a similar colour to mine, some of the local insect life stopped by to check it out. Must be something about the yellow colour that attracts them. I've been buzzed a few times whilst out on the sea - even when a mile or more offshore - by bumblebees that circled the boat before heading on towards what looks like a more promising patch of whins in bloom than this yellow thing floating on the sea.
