Blown Away

A very windy day today which caused the abandonment of our planned bird watching trip. No fun sat in a hide staring at nothing or stood outside trying to keep a scope steady. So back home to find another photo opportunity. 
I decided to take a walk along the river bank to see what was around. This shot was taken looking along the cycle track trying to capture the trees getting bent over in the wind. You can see they are leaning but not to the full extent that they was. Walking back I decided to walk through the local park a few branches laying around but not to much damage in there thankfully . We arrived home just in time  before the heavens opened up and the rain came down like a monsoon  causing the road outside to flood and the guttering on the house unable to cope . 
Thankfully the rain has now stopped but still very windy out there.
