Hoy from the North-East

Which came first Scotch or Pickled?  On arising CMC announced she was going to catch the ferry to Hoy.  She departed.  I heard the gong and I looked out my silk dressing gown to go down to breakfast.   The next thing I knew (whilst rifling through the small ads in the Sundays) she was back!!!!   And I hadn’t even started the ‘To Do’ list that she’d left me.  A combination of a sooth easterly swell and a big tide meant the boat couldn’t get into the Hoy Pier.  I was bang to rights.

After our meeting, overseen by the meeting with the UN, it was a delightful afternoon so we decided to walk one of the Orcadian Core Paths.  There are 162 Core Paths in the County covering a total of approx 680 miles.
