Birthday in the Trees

It was the Big Man's birthday today. Happy Birthday, Big Man! When Sara asked him how he wanted to spend his birthday, he said, "Cutting wood!" So we spent a marvelous day in the firs and oaks, cutting some madrone, splitting fir and oak. Here, my good buddy Grace runs the splitter as Josh tends the logs. I love this. Both in the moment, both with each other...that's the best.
