Hole in the clouds (Day 1739)

I woke, late, to the sound of the wind and torrential rain battering the windows. I stayed in bed, hoping the woofers would forget about their morning wander. Talisker pestered me into action after half an hour or so and I got all my waterproofs on before we headed to the hill.
As we arrived at the car park, another dog walker was towelling off her bedraggled dog in the boot of her car. She was perhaps less prepared for the vile weather than I was - in trainers and jeans I suspect she was soaked to the skin. The walk was unpleasant and the dogs seemed keener than normal to get back into the car.
Back at home, the rest of the morning was spent doing a couple of estimates and invoices.
After lunch, with the wind dropping and the rain stopped, my beautiful wife zoomed off to do hoss stuff, and I took the woofers to Wasdale. I had the place to myself and enjoyed the respite from the strong wind. By the time I got back to the car, I was too warm.
Back home for rugby, paperwork and coffee.
