Reusable
Buying fruit and veg from a supermarket is a potential minefield for the (wannabe) conscientious consumer.
Organic produce is better for the environment, but it’s often sold in mesh bags which can become entangled around the wildlife. Non-organic produce, which is worse for the environment, often comes in a simple plastic bag or wrapper, which can be cut open to reduce the risk.
Buying loose produce is a better, especially if it is organic, but a lot of people like to have a bag to put it in. That’s where the reusable bag comes in.
I could go somewhere where they sell most produce loose and that uses paper bags, but they’re cash only, and I don’t tend to carry cash these days.
