A day to remember

Wild, wild, wild conditions today.
Continuous howling wind ..sometimes reaching gusts of 100 Kim’s an hour...torrential endless rain 140 mls rain over the last 2 days. There is chaos on the roads, flooding, trees and power lines down and power outages. The rain was so ferocious that it forced its way between the the door and sill. Thank goodness we have so many towels...there was a lot of mopping up. Still more crazy weather to come.
In the neighbouring suburb 1000 homes are being evacuated because of the likelihood of flooding.
And yes with all these dangerous conditions there were still kids surfing. This surfer deciding maybe it was all too much ..time to go home.
