Western exposure

There is a scene in the opening credits of the TV series 'Northern Exposure' where a moose (or maybe an elk?) is walking along the otherwise deserted street of the fictional town of Cicely, Alaska.

I was reminded of this when I came out of our lodgings, this morning, to see a donkey walking across the farmyard, with the valley behind her (or him). Unfortunately, the moment passed while I was grabbing my camera out of the car, so you get a donkey in front of a barn instead.

We did another day working in Merthyr Tydfil before setting off for home, getting away around half-three. We opted for the drive up through Wales once again and this time it was light most of the way, which meant we could enjoy the beautiful scenery.
