Music repair shop

I took my flute to a music shop to see what needs doing to get it tip top again. It was actually fascinating as they have a repair workshop in the store and I watched their experts fixing up all sort of woodwind instruments. I haven’t played my flute much since I was at school but am keen to get back into and tend to some unfinished business in the shape of ABRSM grade 8! I have a big birthday coming up next year and want to try and get it under my belt ( or close) by then! Booked my flute in for a service and discussed the fact that I probably need to invest in a new solid silver flute head joint to improve the tone.
